Rubs ????
I have a EG Classic and a custom chopper I built and I spend quite a bit of time on chopper type forums and quite a bit of time here on this forum picking up a lot of knowledge. It is quite humorous actually to listen to everyone rag on each other. I guess I just dont get it????? Everyone trying to prove that one group is better than the other or that your a poser for this or a rub for that. I personally dont give a **** what someone thinks of me I just want to ride. If you have a bike of any kind and a need to have your face in the wind I will share a lane with you even if you are a rub or a poser. What is up with everyone that rides a Harley calling chopper guys rubs and chopper guys calling Harley guys rubs? Cant we all just get along??
Scott

I agree we should all just get along. for the record I'm not a rub, I don't have enough money to be rich, maybe I'm a mub, I am a middle class urban biker.

Don't know about a battle on this forum. It's all in fun.. well, until somebody calls me a gentleman farmer. I can handle any name, but I won't let anyone accuse me of being a gentleman.

It's just the normal male chest pounding. My team is better than yours. Electra Glide vs. Road Glide. RUB vs. Biker nonsense. I wouldn't read to much into it other than entertainment. You can really get some guys fired up though! That's always fun.

I'm more of a RAB (Rural A$$hole Biker). Well, I don't really consider myself a "Biker", that sets off visions of Peter Fonda, or Hells Angels, Born Losers, you know all the old B movies and actors that we liked so much as kids. How does this sound? MAR (Middle Aged Rider) or SAR (Sorry A$$ Rider) or FAR (Fat A$$ Rider), I suppose one could replace Rider for Biker (you know, if you ever get the chance to meet Pete, or Bruce Dern, or even Lorenzo). But hey, tell those "Chopper" guys, it's ok to smile once in a while, after all they are in the wind and on some nice bikes. They might want to try some Prep H too, I hear it works pretty good and those Hardtails can't be all that comfy when the burning and itching starts.
I just thought of another acronym (actually I saw someone elses tag line) I suppose I could be a SCAB (Seasoned Country A$$ Biker, or SCAR) I kinda like SCAB, what do y'all think?

Back in the 70's my brother in law road his Harley over 200,000 miles all over the world. Sold in 10 years later to finish law school. If he bought a new Harley to get back in the saddle would he be concidered a RUB.

Same reason that fly fishermen hate spin casters, bow hunters hate rifle hunters, classical musicians hate rappers...... etc etc.

I think all 'real' musicians hate rappers, and most of the rest of the world to... at least my little corner of the world.
