Raked Trees or Bearing cups???

I have a 94 Lowrider...getting ready to pickup a RK...so now it's time to do some of the things I've wanted, but was afraid to do because it was my main ride....it's pretty much tricked out...paint...chrome..21" front tire...but what it really needs is a slight rake...stock is 28...I want to go three or four degrees BUT dont' want the fram chopped/cut..So I'm looking at Raked trees or the other option Raked bearing cups...My thoughts are the cups..cheaper...easier...and from what I've read about rake and trail...changing the stem/neck angle works better than changing fork angle....any thoughts???
Thanks...JB

I have thought about raking my forks. From what I have heard from this forum the bike will become unstable at high speeds if I use forks with a few degrees of extra rake. I think the fork cups may alleviate the problem but I am not sure. Let me know how it turns out.

Excellent article.
I'll pass this on to a bud who is thinking about raking his shovel.
This forum might just have saved his life.
Thanks in advance.
