option: beginners / womens bike - Yamaha V Star 950

the wife has been getting beat to death on her lowered Low sportster for a while, and every woman we talked to, said how horrible a sporty is for a SMALL woman.

most men and good sized girls don't mind them, but tiny women seem to rejoice once they upgrade to a softail or deuce.

we picked up one of these today, the wife was AMAZED how much better it rode around the loop in our neighborhood.

YMMV, but i would rather my wife ride happy on a Yammy, than not ride at all.

Hell, if she's happy, great. Of all the Japanese bikes out there the V-star line (I think) looks the best. Of course I started riding again on an old Virago, so I'm kinda biased. Enjoy the ride.

exactly. shes tickled to be able to ride it stock, without waiting on me to modify it

If she's happy - then your happy. If ya know what I'm sayin. Tell her to enjoy the ride; wouldn't surprise me none if in a couple seasons she'll be lookin at a FX or a street Glide with a twinkle in her eye.
