Here Are The Numbers...
The Sturgis 6 in '07
I traveled 3256.4 miles in 9 days with 6 guys in record setting heat... many life lessons learned. For those of you who have an interest, stay tuned as I share them with you.
Oh and yes...the miles were all on my bike.
Signed,
I went to Sturgis Trailer week in 07

I am very glad you did the miles all the miles on your bike. I too have ridden to Sturgis twice -1775 miles each way did 5000+ in 05 in 12 days. I wont do it again unless I can take 3 weeks off just so many cornfields I feel I need to see in my lifetime. I do want to hear about your experiance but by your last comment I tend to think it will involve bashing people who trailer and that has been done to the point of .

I agree with the cornfields, I bought my ride out there in Minneapolis and rode it home to Vermont in about 2.5 days, a little shiy of 1700 miles, nice riding if you take everything but the highways, which I did except the last half a day, I buzzed across on 90 to make up some time.
Electra Glide Classic man, didn't need any recovery time on that thing, wnet out and put another 1500 on it the following weekend...let's hear your story!!

Am slowly regaining on the trip recovery. Combine that with computer problems and whew...what a few weeks it's been.
No trailer bashing going on here...I did have to smile though when I saw a new Hummer pulling a beautifully trailered bike on the way to Devil's tower. But hail naw...let's not bash anybody about anything...I mean we're all big boys and girls now here aren't we?
Anybody have the link(s) handy on how to post some nice big pictures on V-Twin?

I'll keep this link going through all the upcoming cold weather months because yes Virginia...the cold nasties will be headed our way before we know it.
Anybody ever done the math on what the human body undergoes when you run 75 MPH+ in 104 degree heat? It's potentially not a pretty sight when you factor in the physics of the situation.
And yes, my honey do list was quite long when I returned. But that's cool because the trip was well worth it. And when I say honey do list; I'm talking not only at home but also at the workplace. I have a lot of folks that depend on me to do my job and do it well.
A few other tips...keep your computer files backed up up on a regular basis and keep your virus scan software up to date as well.
I do apologize for my sporadic postings. They will become less sporadic as I take delivery on my new computers at home and at work.
