I know that in life some promises are as shallow as the words they consist of...but I do promise to eventually share my story.

Besides...it's going to be a long cold winter before you know it. And we'll all have plenty of time to read this forum. Well except for you Floridians, Texans and Californians who'll be bragging about riding on January 1st.

For those of you who've watched this topic from my first posting upon my return from Sturgis, I've had nothing but computer problems at home and at work (I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, it's not been fun). I am submitting this post using my dad's computer (he just turned 93 this weekend so we're celebrating his birthday)

All I can say for now is Good Things Come To Those Who Wait...sorta like a fine wine. Or, if you're a beer guy then good things come to those who at least get their "brewery" (i.e. computer) fixed.

Soon I shall take possession of not one but two new computers, so thanks for your interest and patience as I continue to put forth my story!

For now, it's time for cake.

Oh and P.S. I'm also the proud new grandfather of indentical twin girls. Life should never be boring, now should it?

I relocated from Austin, texas to the Upper Penninsula of Michigan summer of 2007, I rode my 2005 road glide 4 round trips, shipped my belongings and rode the bike. Knowing that the relocation was going to cost me year round riding/ my 05 glide has just over 39,000 on the clock now ( and yes I bought it new) the trips were done virtually non stop ( 1way that is) round trip milage approx, 3300mi. fastest trip 28hrs 40min 1way. And yes I am a member of the Ironbutt assoc. Love the touring rides, But these rides were all BIDNESS !!!! And the physical pain was worth it just to say " I did it".
I hope the rest of you guys keep the rubber on the pavement and not on a trailer. ( Trailer queens are for SISSIES ! ).
And now that I have spent the last 6 months in snow to my eyeballs and riding season is upon me, I can't wait to abuse myself some more. I hope to clock off at least another 6000 this season. ( man 6000 sure doesn't sound like much to me may have to go back to Texas so I can return to ridin year round.. All you touring rig riders get out there use them baby's for what they were designed for and put some real miles on the clock. take it easy hope to see ya all on the road ehh! and register with ironbutt and get on the registry just to say you did it.. Good Luck.. Have great rides and don't turn yourselves into wannabe bikers.. RIDE LIKE THE WIND, A LITTLE RAIN NEVER HURT NOBODY, AND SEE THE WORLD AS GOD INTENDED FROM THE BACK OF YOUR SCOOTER>> LATERRRR RRRR RRRRR RRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!
