I know it will make no difference to harley but I won't have to swallow the constant crap I get from the dealer. In my opinion once again they have made no real improvements to there bikes but have raised the price. So I guess I'll just get a good handling bike and put some cash back in my pocket.

How much were you willing to spend? Take that money and rebuild the engine adding another 10 cubes, new performance cam with gear drive, new timer, new pipes, new seat, and if there's bucks left over, new paint. Go to an indy, not that dealer.

IMO, Victory dealers don't know their product and this could be hard for the company to overcome. I test rode several of them and really liked the old V92C and some of the Vegas models. Lots of leftovers and little dealer knowledge scared me off. I'm not fond of the Arlen Ness designs on some of the newer bikes either.

The08's have alot of changes..bigger motors(110") with better fuel mileage(54MPH) ,larger gas(6gal) tanks for longer hauls, brighter lights from the factory, bigger tires(widers better they say*) and some options for electric locks AND even Anit-lock brakes*
next time travel around and MAKE them give you good service!check the INDYS out, I would've pushed the hog before tradin to *** but thats me...its a free country...

I just bought a 76 KZ750B to chop. Good strong engine, a lot of torque and it is cheap. HDs cost too much anymore to cut up. This one will low budget - kind of the anti-Harley. That is how choppers got started, it wasn't all about chrome and paint.
I am NOT going to get rid of my HD unless I am losing my house.

If I had to buy my Harley from a dealer, I would be riding something else. I don't even like to buy parts there. If you don't have am unlimited checkbook, they don't even want to talk to you. Harleys used to be the bike that you rebuilt over and over, now they want you to buy a new one every 2 years. That way, the people that do, will have a trade in with 7k on the odometer.
Sooner or later, they will come around. Harleys aren't scarce anymore, and used ones look great.
