Designs that make you wonder

OK, this isn't a HD bashing post. Love my bikes. But..... You gotta admit that every once in a while you find something on your bike that makes you scratch your head trying to figure out exactly why in hell they designed it that way!

Let's hear about some of those dumba$$ engineering marvels that the MOCO has bestowed upon is.

Some of my suggestions...

-Evo 3 piece rocker boxes. They warp, the gaskets are trash, they leak...

-Using drag link caps instead of allen or torx on the tappet oil screen. Why?

-Incredibly dumb mounting stud to secure console on pre-2000 FLSTC and other bikes. Anyone else have to crack the console nut because the stud started spinning?
