'07 Illinois State Rally

Hey all, The Illinois State Rally is in Danville this year. I have been unfortunate in the fact that I have lived there for damn near 50 years, minus the time Uncle Sam had me elsewhere. If you have any questions about the area feel free to ask away. Not a bad area, lots of state park area and county parks to ride in and around. We have several Hotels in the area due to our proximity to Indianapolis (86 miles) and the auto races there usually fill our hotels.

Anyway, feel free to ask, I'll do what I can.

Good to know. A buddy of mine is already planning to have a group going to the Illinois (Danville) Rally.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Nightlife is lame but the local hotspots are Sarge's and Shovelhead. Sarge's offers a great time on Friday nights and Shovelhead will probably have something special lined up. Most restaurants are located on Route 1, both north and south of town. If your into a great hamburger we have two pretty good ones offered in town, Grossburger's is south of town on Route 1 and the Moonburger at the Moonglow tavern out on Perrysville road.

Gutteridge H-D is our local dealer and are some pretty good people. I'm sure they'll have some events set up. Check their website from time to time, their pretty slow to update it.

The rally runs from May 31 thru 2 Jun in, of course, Danville. I waiting for my wife's associate card to come before I register, might as well get the t-shirt for the money. lol

Question best rv park

Where's a good roomy place to park toy hauler trailer. I know their's kickapoo but I've noticed that state place due north. I really hate those places that STACK us up practically on top of each other. What kind of camping is that. Is there one particular camp that ya all hang out?

Actually Kickapoo has gone through several upgrades and is much nicer. I haven't heard where the masses are going but I would imagine Kickapoo will be full. You might want to reserve a spot early. I believe you are talking about the Middlefork reserve and I'm not aware of the facilities other than the abundant reptile life forms (snakes). I haven't heard where they plan to put everyone yet, I'll post more if I hear. You might want to fire off an E-mail to H.O.G and ask them as well.

Ride safe and see ya in June.
