Dan - I'm not trying to "highjack" your thread, but was just about to post the same thing - only I am leaving from the Dayton area on the 4th. Maybe we can find out if any more forum members are going and find a chance to meet during the ride. Anybody else going?

Ride Safe.
Walt

Ya didn't highjack a thing, Walt. I'm glad someone answered.

I"ll be at the Holiday Inn in Grantville PA. for two nights. I'll probably do a little sight seeing on the morning of the 5th. I'm also an old car nut so the AACA Museum will be be on my agenda.

I aslo signed up to go but I'm not quite sure what day I will be leaving. Ride starts on Sept. 5th. in Hersey and I am about 2.5 hours away so may be leaving early that morning from NJ. I'm a first timer so I'm a bit confussed on the structure of the ride. Have either of you participated before?

SuperK,
Thanks for the reply. I have never been on one either, but I would think it would be pretty well organized. I figured to leave early just in case. I get messed up in traffic or something else. I'll have my laptop and will check the forum here during the trip. maybe we can all meet.

Ride Safe.

The 'Tour' is a SELF-GUIDED tour.

There is a ride planner website specifically for the Road Candy Tour w/recommended highways (you take them or not) to the different locations. The idea is to be at the dealers (whichever way you get there) for the parties.

Unfortunately, I'm at work and can't seem to find the right website address. I'll check tonight.

Been there done that. I had used my "Street Atlas" to plan a route, then found this link:
http://rideplanner.members.hog.com/en/06_roadcandy.jsp
and found they had planned the same route I decided to use.

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner, been out of town.

Nope, not in Dayton HOG, but in Springfield, OH Chapter. Don't know where Little York is, not been there.

I am meeting up with a rider from Troy on Monday morning, and we are going over to Hershey that day. We are staying at the Hershey Inn Monday and Tuesday so we can try and hook up somewhere. Not sure about the ride back yet. I am at a Holiday Inn Friday night.

Ride Safe.

Hello!

Who went here? I did.
I was the guy from Dominican Republic...and the Arturo Fuente cigars too.
My pics are at http://web.mac.com/emxgarcia under the RC menus.

too bad I did not sync up with the folks here,.

Had wonderful weather, great riding and some good fun and new friends.

Thanks to everyone that showed us what true America is made of... good people.
