Unless I missed it somewhere, 1st thing is HD gives you the first year free just for buying one of their (overpriced dinasours) bikes. 2nd thing is wherever you are buying your bike from, bend the stealers arm until they give you a free 1 yr local membership with their own chapter.

I like hardleys, always have.
You can't argue the fact that they are overpriced and the technology is decades old.
I am a shopper, a very good shopper. MSRP or below is my motto. I WILL NOT buy any bike above MSRP! You should all know that the profit is already built into that MSRP sticker from the start.
The stealers that charge more than that deserve to collaspe.
The people that pay those prices... well, (I'll be nice), they either don't know or are so wrapped up and hel* bent on getting a bike, they can't think right.

I paid way over MSRP..why, because I wanted the bike this year, and the V-Rod at the time was hard to come by -unlike now. Was I wrapped up and Hell bent, yep, and I still am. I love the bike and would pay the same price again, the bike to me was worth it.

As for joining a local HOG, $hit I'll ride with anyone, I have no hangups about that. I'll jump at any chance to get on that bike!

Now, just 2 more weeks and it will be out of the shop!

-peace

Always like that, buy something and someone says " boy you got ****ed I found that two dollars cheaper" It's my money and I like to keep it in circulation locally if possible.

Well, for one thing, the Rick boy can't even spell Harley or were you just being a sarcastic a$$ hole? You come here spouting your shi.t. If you don't like the high price of something, then just don't buy it then
It's my fuc.ken money and I will spend it any way I see fit, I make alot, so I can spend my a$$ off all I want O, by the way, I gave MSRP, so I must be as good as you are at finding deals

I have ridden bikes for 30 years. Joined various clubs. I like the option of being able to ride with or without the group, pick and choose the charities I wish to contribute to, and adorn my clothing with or with out pins. It all depends on what feels right today. Currently I belong to the national HOG, local HOG and the AMA. I feel like I am supporting those who fight for the motorcycling rights that seem to be eroding daily. I enjoy the magazines, articles, humor and advertisments. Bottom line...it's your choice. Make it and live with the consequences, if any. Don't make excuses and don't explain it...just be what you said....YOU. Welcome aboard.
