I know HOG in America is different to England, but the same rules aply for all of us.

Different, but the rules are all the same? Based on what youre writing and what I'm reading in the handbook, Things are obviously NOT the same.
I'm a little confused on that... I was referring to OVERPRICED BIKES, not the P&A prices... and I dont know why you'd buy a MoCo filter for $25 when there are suppliers of better fitration products for less money than the chrome one youre gonna dump after 2500 miles anyway. FWIW... I buy black ones...
The only thing I know our chapter gave HOG some years back and from time to time is $$$ for taxes...
EVERY CHAPTER must hold a Rally? Or must hold a set number of events? Hosting events is in the handbook, but for the Hawaii State Rally that is put on by a separate committee of volunteers (most of which are members of our Chapter) and is a SEPARATE event as indicated in the handbook.
As far as we are concerned, HOG rarely gets involved with us with the exception of a couple of annual visits by the region rep, in which one trip usually means a few VIPs in the mix from the MoCo as well. (They all want to go to Hawaii about the time Milwaukee if putting up bikes for the winter.)
Sounds like youre blaming HOG for the Sponsoring Dealers ineptness. HOG didnt damage your bike, the Dealer did. The Dealer made you a lowball offer on your bike, not HOG.
So, if we can get back to the question in my original post.... do you have anything of value to that conversation?
