If you can use a wrench, you might as well install that stuff yourself. The catch is the Power Commander at this point. As soon as you make the mods, the bike will run leaner. So you need to either get it immediately to the dealer for a new MAP or, add the Power Commander and get it immediately to a Dyno Jet dyno facility to have it set up (dyno tuned).
The catch is Dyno Jet dyno tuner wants the bike broke in first.
Since I had a bunch of major mods done to mine before I took delivery, I used an HD map from the dealer as to not burn the engine up. After it was broke in (I think they wanted at least 750 miles on the bike, but 1000 would be better) I put in the PC in (nothing to that, just plug it in between the engine and computer, plenty of room too.) and took it to the dyno tuner.
You can put the PC in any time with or without a special HD map, as long as you don't change the initial settings of the PC and you don't need to remove any HD map to begin setting the PC.
It would probably be easier if you just got 1000 or so miles on it, did the mods and PC, then to the dyno tuner.
I love the PC. I know the air/fuel ratio is dead nuts through the entire RMP/Throttle range. The engine runs cooler and develops more HP and TQ. So far I've been from Sea Level to 5000 ft with no over rich problems. So I have no issues running without 02 sensors. Whenever I make any more mods that may effect air/fuel ratio, it's easily done with the PC and you know it will be dead on for power and torque.
I've mentioned this in another thread....the new HDs are running leaner than hell and therefore hotter than hell. They brag on 80+ HP with their big bore kits. With my stock bore & stroke 96 TC, I'm getting 100HP and 102TQ with SE Heads, Cam and the PC.
