1 yr $40
2 yr $75
3 yr $105
Life $500
I thought life membership lasted only 20 or 30 years. At this time it seems to really be life. Being only 29 & not planning on dying or ending my riding untill at least 80, lifetime membership would be for ~50 years. Within 13 years the lifetime membership will have paid itself off.

Lifetime membership cost for new members or members with less than 5 years of membership: $500
Lifetime membership cost for members with 5 or more consecutive years of membership: $300
It's worth it in my opinion. $500 equates to about 12 1/2 years if you paid year to year. After those 12 1/2 years, you are making money off of HOG.

Life membership is a good deal, IF you plan to remain in HOG.
Even if you don't remain in HOG and purchase another brand, your life membership stays with you and you can attend HOG events.
The life membership will pay for itself in about 10 years.
I'm a life member. I enjoy not paying annual dues. I wisely obtained life membership at a lower rate than is currently available. Of course, the life rate will also go up again in the future.
The "Life" patch isn't bad either!

Everyone I have spoken to says the same, if you intend staying in HOG more than about 5 years go for the life membership. The other good thing in the US most dealers give you about 10% discount on parts. Even my UK card works plus the parts are about 35% cheaper than here.

Hog life
Hello Anox3;
When I sign up for life, I called Hog themselfs to get the lowdownd on what the proceedure and price was...I did this a few years back...As far as I'm concern it was the way to go...at that time, you need no referal or be recommended, and I'm sure it is that way now....

well $500.00 sounds good, until you take into account that its US dollars, now convert it to Australian dollars and I'm paying out $1,000 AUS dollars, then I have to pay again to join a local chapter in Australia.
I hope Harley Davidson changes that when they move into Australia, rumours are that they intend to open a place in Sydney, and shake up the dealerships In Oz,bout time. I think I read somewhere, next to U.S.A Australia is the next in the sales of Harley's...hehehehe beautiful 1 day perfect the next, how's all that snow and ice going fellas... RIDE SAFE
And hi from the Dandenong chapter of H.O.G,thats in Melbourne Victoria..

I have not heard that you get a discount on parts...is that a "for sure" or is it just hype?

not all dealerships will honor HOG members with a discount. Since dealers are separate franchises, they all have different rules.
-Some dealers give discounts to all HOG members
-Some dealers require you to be a member of their local chapter to give you a discount
-Some won't give you a discount at all
So basically, "participating" dealers will give you a discount.
