Hey, bro. Be sure to check out a local Chapter meeting. Many of them have lots of good rides and events going on.

Sorry to get off topic, but I called AAA and they won't sign me up for AAA+ (with motorcycle coverage) untill I'm a regular member in "good standing" for 2 years first. Then if you use it they knock you back down to regular member for 2 more years before you can re-apply for the "+" membership.
Screw them.

I'm a 29 year member... they love me...
HOG road service is worthless is all I'm saying... look for alternatives... I know this through my 6 1/2 hour stay under a bush in the 110º desert. Get something.

I have to agree. We just spent 3 hrs on the side of the road for a wrecker to take us 25 miles back to Brandon,Fl. Rear tire blew out. Dealer in Brandon then charged $90 to put on a new tire. Pass the vaseline !! Last dealer I bought a tire from install was free. Brandon HD was a total of $269. for a tire & labor. Antone know of some other programs ?

We get it at a discounted rate where I work. The form is for new members and you can select regular ($76- 3 members)or premium ($104- 3 members) I believe it was. I was a member for 5-6 years about 10 years ago and never had to use it.

Big group rides are a pain in the a$$ to me. Too many rules and regulations. In Ft. Myers their`s too many that think they know it all and always complain and have a better way. I kept my national map, stuck the card in my wallet and threw everything else away. Just not my thing. I like small groups or no groups at all.

Local chapter rides get broken into small packs of no more than 10 bikes with a road captain or two. We try to keep about 5 minutes between packs. That makes it easier to get through intersections. When we do charity rides with more riders we try to get police escorts and our goal is to not have any participant need to put a foot down, except at planned stops, from the beginning to the end of the ride. Now on the really long rides the pack usually consists of me, my wife and one or two friends. Everyone understands that if anyone does not like the pace or the route, they are free to set their own pace and take their own route, no hard feelings.

Don't agree. I broke the Trike in south of nothin in Northern NM last year, called HOG road service and they had a truck out to me in about 40 minutes. It was 40 minutes to the nearest town! I just barely had a cell phone signal! Just my experience. Triple A could not have done any better.
Ride Safe.
