I can e-mail you a copy of the March edition if you want. If so, please PM me with your e-mail address.
Same here only it is the only way ours is available now. Saves the chapter money and members seem to like it. Can send a sampling of ours as well if you would like. Just pm me an e-mail address.

You know folks, this thread is what I think this area should be about. Everyone has offered help, suggestions, with a goal of improvement of their chapter. No one has dissed anybody, called anybody a rub, or slammed HOG. I enjoy our chapter and enjoy being an officer. I might post more with threads like this! Look for me in Vegas at POT in a couple of weeks!!

GeezerGlide - I totally agree with your observations. Anyone going to the POT training in Milwaukee?

AMEN! Nice to hear, GeezerGlide...my wife has not only joined me as a rider (2 years ago), but is joining me as an officer this year in our Chapter, handling the LOH duties...I agree with ya' that we need all be more proactive in posting what works & doesn't work for us in our Chapter officer duties...we're in Birmingham for POT; attending in Vegas woulda cost me an additional grand in "entertainment"....dang casinos always keep my money!

Far 3ast is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm not trying to be the HOG police or anything, but "just sayin'", the HOG charter requires the six (minimum) newsletters to be printed, not just published (see below for excerpt from charter).

What our chapter does is emails the newsletters to chapter members, but prints out some to be left at the checkout counter at the dealer. This promotes awareness of the HOG chapter among non-member Harley owners. The dealer picks up the cost of printing.

here is the pertinent paragraph (webpage link follows):

Article XVI – Operating Policies (U.S. Chapters Only)

Newsletters: Chapters must publish a minimum of six newsletters per year to be eligible to maintain H.O.G. affiliation. Newsletters can consist of any printed material informing the membership of activities, i.e. post cards, flyers, multi-page publications, etc. Activities listed in the newsletter must indicate whether it is an open event, H.O.G. member event or closed event.

Agreed. We print about 150 to mail and so there are some for the receptionist counter at the dealership. I think we e-mail about the same number so it really saves some money, gets the news to some of the members quicker, and the e-mailed version has the pictures in color.
