Unhappy Alarm won't turn off - Help!

Went to get the Rod out of winter 'hibernation' - can't turn the alarm off !!
Both key-fobs appear ok, or at least the batteries are fresh - but the Rod does not respond - the bike battery's been on trickle charge all winter, so should be ok - the only thing amis I can see is the red alarm 'key' light is flashing at one flash per second, rather than the once per two seconds the manual says it should - the manual says this indicates a 10 minute lock-up after an incorrect code entry, but no code was entered.
I'll try using the personal code when I get home - but otherwise am out of ideas. Anyone got a clue??

A friend of mine had this problem last summer. Entering your personal code should take care of it. Otherwise, I think you'll have to get it to a Dealer for them to reset it.

Let us know if entering your code takes care of it. I'd bet it will!

Oh Christ - I know this is really unkind, and especially to a fellow Brit, but I just can't help it :-

Try Land Rover Tool Of Adjustment No 2.

The ten pound sledge hammer

This is my bike:

And this is the beer:

To which you are welcome if you ever get down this way.

Welcome to the madhouse, mate.

How do we know you are you? You might be someone else trying to get someone elses bike. Unless I ( and I know I am me because I checked myself out first) am mistaken ( HA fat chance of that eh?), I'd say the alarm works BUT won't stop working. Therefore, if you truely be you, and we are honest with each other ( and/or someone else depending on who the hell you REALLY are), then I'd have ta answer....

Nope ain't got a clue.

Hope this helps.

HA! You can never do a GOOD thief out of a living. In fact, a GOOD thief would a eaten that cheesy alarm and crapped tin for a day or two.

I been watching the 'do you lock yours up' thread.

I ain't seen anything yet that would last 3 minutes where I come from

Course, I come from a long line of thieves. Check out the Border Reivers.

Lockin is for crimes of convience. If someone wants a bike it is gone. Best insurance I know of is a Local Support Sticker.

Got that right. Round here we never lock anything. Course, we're out of town and everything's in range. One reason I love this country.

Talking

It's mine - really it is !!

Well after much head-scratching I think I've cracked it - was tempted resort to using Pete's tool (so to speak) - but it looks like the alarm had 'forgotten' about the key fobs over the winter lay-up (hell, I can't even remember what I did last week) - so I had to use the 'personal code', then re-assign each key fob, seems OK now - phew!

All that button pushing and I was wishing I had Pete's fridge full of beer handy - may take you up on that one day !

Cheers guys!

Happened to me last summer when I first arrived in Sturgis. Let me tell you it pissed me off so much and after an hour finally worked, with no explanation as to why it wouldn't work in the first place...
