Question Super Trapp V5

Just unpacked the V5 i got off e bay.Paid 299 for it seems like a good deal.Didn't come with any instructions or clamps. This is a brand new pipe and the installation looks pretty straight forward. Do i use the clamps from my old pipes? Also got my Screaming Eagle air filter gonna go topless.THANX

I looked on ebay, didn't see one when I was buying, so had to go the dealer route....they've installed, and are now in the process of using the HD SE Race Tuner Kit to best tune it....expensive option, but what the heck... lots of other whacky cash invested. They dyno'd without the tuner and said it was ok, but running a bit rich on the low end. I hope to have it back in a few days and will give you a dyno report......

Question, most factory dyno numbers are at the crank, shop dyno's gonna show at the rear wheel...realistically, what should be expected at the rear wheel with the Race tuner, and vs. the 115 at the supposedly stock, what is the stock at the rear wheel? I'll keep you posted, I'll admit I'm a bit apprehensive, it's been runnin' great with the SE1's VModded, but I was lookin' for a new look for '04! Final question, several HD tech's really were against the power commander, said it only "tricked" the system, and would eventually fry the electronic fuel system vs. the RaceTuner actually "tuning" the bike perfectly? Thoughts?

Keep me posted on your progress as well....Once I get it back, I'll post some pics and show the Black/Gold paint set as well.....

VRoom,

Lenny,
If we lived in Kansas, I would say no problem, but we live here in So Cal with 1000's of miles of canyon roads. The ST will severely limit your right hand cornering clearance. That's not something I could live with. Oh and yes the weather has been outstanding. 80° again today!

Happy Birthday to me....on the eve of my birthday (which is tomorrow - let me know if you need my address to send donations), I picked up the newest "version" of my VROD.....new radical blackngold paint kit, and the SuperTrappV5....it's F'n awesome......I love the sound, the look, they used the ScEagle race tuner kit to fine tune it....rowin' through the gears you'd think you're in a tricked Ferrari,,,,I love it! Busy days are here, but I'll try to post some pics soon....Those of you who are thinkin' the "Trapp", I'm now a believer.....it looks race narly now (feels and sounds it too!). Sounds sweet, not to loud, not too low....just puurrrrrrrrrrrrfect! (my other new birthday gift, a black/black '04 BMW (car)... tomorrow's the Atlanta bike show, it's scary to think what might also be in the garage by Sunday!!! **See you at the VROD display, I'll be the dude who looks 1 year older with a big grin!!!

A Big Boom Vroom,
