Talking The Rod is back after my crash!!!!!

My V-Rod is back after having been in the shop since June 11th!!!!! And it is a beautiful day! It just doesn't get any better than that!

I had a minor accident that broke my left leg on June 7th. The V-Rod needed a new SS windshield, clutch lever & resevoir, handlebar, grip, air box cover, radiator shroud, overflow bottle, and a radiator trim piece. I needed a plate and 5 screws. Fortunately, I was fixed first.

Anyway, I just wanted to spread the news that my Rod was back on the road.

I can appreciate your new outlook Steve. My bike is still at the dealership..... two and half weeks and I just got the estimate!! (They are all backed up and are having to turn people away.) I may just do the work myself -- get parts off eBay and get some kool mods from Doc, V-Mod and Breathless - support the buds.

Great news! Mine will be in the shop till at least the end of Sept. I'm going nuts. And get a copy of the x-ray before you fly. They may want to see proof its a plate and not a weapon stashed in your leg.

But I do have a weapon stashed in my leg.

You're right, of course. But the way I look at it is this is just another reason not to fly! Actually, the doctor gave me a card to carry in my billfold to show that I had some 'hidden hardware'.

It sure seems like it takes a long time to get a bike fixed. This was the first, and I hope - only, motorcycle accident I've ever had. I was amazed how long I was without the bike - June 11 to Sept 4 - hmmmm, anybody good at 'date math'? I get about 85 days. Does that seem long?
