V-rod squealing?

Just picked up a V-Rod on Craigslist that has been abused. Not rode hard but left out a lot. I have a squealing noise coming from the lower center of the large cover on the right. Don't have book yet but any idea what this is? Normal? Also, fuel guage does not move at all. Dan

I had the same problem. HD deal changed fuel sensor and it fix the problem. I heard from other VROD owners saying they also had fuel sensors changed.

I was never able to get my fuel gage fixed. Learned to fill up every 120 miles. Only took this guy running out of fuel a few times.
