Lightbulb Everybody needs to check this.

Leaving for Sturgis tonight. While I was doing my final inspection I noticed a slight film of oil on the oil pan. I checked the tightness of my frontoil pan bolts and all three were loose. All the other pan bolts were tight. Just hope I can help someone else out if they have the same problem.

Cheers, The Doc

This may not be the same, but I just noticed a oil leak comming from the seam in the side of the case just under the derby cover. It's leaking from where the chrome meets the the gray engine case down on the shifter rod and then on the ground. The bolts are tight so I made a appointment to have the dealer replace the gasket. I can't get in until the 27th. The leak is slow but noticeable. Just what I need. More ammunition for my buddies that ride rice!

I'm having the same problem as angus31, a very slow leak on the side of the left case. It's going in for the 1000 mile checkup tomorrow, I only have a couple of spots on the driveway floor, so I didn't take it in sooner. Just an FYI, maybe they had a bad batch of gaskets or something.........

My 03 leaked at the left side cover as well, I think the problem is chrome on the face of the sealing edge. At any rate they sanded my cover and resealed it so far so good. Unlike my rear rocker cover that took four tries to seal on my 02.
