Knee pain after 100 miles

Need some help! My wifes' knees hurt very bad after 100 miles. She is about 5'7''. Would the reduced footpeg kit help her out? She just took off the badlander seat and put the sundowner on, which helped her out alot.
Thanks for your help!
Doug

Doug,
Hey Brother, Scout aka Mike here.. We met at Ramsey's during the bike and Hot Rod show! Seen some other posts here talkin about what will make the bike more comfortable for shorter riders, and everyone says the sundowner and reduced controls were the ticket. Wouldn't have figgured you could do much more to your VRODs!! His and hers decked out to the 9s! Ought to post some pics of them both for all us to envy over!
Luck!
Scout

I use the reduced reach and find em great, they are made by Harley, but Steve at V-mod also supplies a set that is different in design yet do the same job.

Your wife WILL be happier with em...................Go for it !!!

HawgDoc,
I'm fairly new to the area (7 months) but Chesapeake is only 8 short miles away from the house... Don't know the owner, but the service staff seems to be ok. Anything I should be aware of? I have other choices but none as covenant!
Thanks
Scout

It can be difficult to track down the precise source of knee pain, but one thing you may want to try is a set of pegs that give your passenger more support for her feet. My girlfriend found the stock round pegs made her tense up her legs to keep her heels off the pipes. This soon became uncomfortable. By switching to a wider peg (In my case the "diamond plate" style) and getting her some stiff-soled motorcycle boots she claims that she can just rest her feet on the pegs and concentrate on enjoying the ride.

knees

VRODScout,
Just wanted to say hi and thanks for the compliments. Wife said hi too. Nice meeting you at Ramseys'. Maybe sometime we all will get to ride sometime. I think she is going to try the reduced footpegs, and hopefully with the new sundowner seat and ththe reduced kit, she will be able to ride her bike like she wants to.
We are very pleased with eveyone at Ramseys'. All of the people treat us like ( family). We have been at alot of different dealers and not 1 of them have treated us even close to what Ramseys' have been. Prices on bikes are a little high, but with the service we received, we do not mind paying a little more.
Take care and hope we catch up with you sometime.

Thanks to everyone for their comments on the problem.

Doug
