07' Vrod

My buddy just stopped by with his new '07. This is a guy who swore he would never own a Harely. He is into performance based bikes for speed and handling. This is no exaggeration - when he hops on his sport bike - EVERYTIME - he will bury the speedo at 184; the RPM keeps climbing.

Anyway, I have been bitching at him for years to get a bike he will travel on and when I told him I purchased a Fat Boy (a week ago) he purchased his '07 VRod. He likes it thus far. I rode it for a few miles and was pleased as well. I just wish Harley would migrate the Revolution motor to their other models. I know it is different than what everyone is used to, but change is a good thing in this instance. Keep the classic Harley looks, just develop the engineering to modern technology and this motor meets that need.

I also got off a Sportbike, 636 RR, to a Vrod and loving it.

The Rev engine is coming. To meet tier 4 emissions they will need to put the REV engine in a bunch more models.

Technologically, I would say this is the most advanced motor, but as for looks that boils down to preference. I like the looks, but prefer a more classic Harley styling.

Just like any classic Harley. There are seats, handlebars, wheels, sheetmetal etc to make it look like what ever you want it too.
