power from the new v-rods

I traded in my 06 vrsca in April for a 09 fatboy. I like the softail alot, it was my first softail. I have always had baggers (flh models) and a sporty or two. I realy did not want to get rid of the v-rod but with the economy, I (my wife) thought 4 bikes would not be prudent. I have come to want to get another v-rod. I even went back to the dealer to see about my old one and it was sold. So I took two out that he had on the floor a 09 muscle and an 08 vrscaw both were nice but seemed to lack the power of the 1130 cc even though the new ones are 1250cc. Has anyone expierenced this, The dealer said that the new ones had just as much horsepower and torque. Mabey mine seemed like more because of the pc111, v&h powershots, k&n filter and dyno tune. It just seemed that mine had more umph when new. Any comments?

Strictly in your mind. They haven't done anything except add displacement. May be yours was tuned to perfection. Go a head pull the trigger. Then add a Aerocharger to it!

09s are LEAN, stock. That 240 rear tire has it's affect too.

Your add ons made that much of a differance. Go get the "F" you can't go wrong. Throw a PC V on and enjoy.

Thanks all ! Yes I am going to get one, I was just wondering about the seat of the pants feel. It must have just been my add ons that made my 06 feel like a scalded dog when I got on it. The factory must set the bikes up more lean as the years go by and regulations tighten.

Lean enough to make the pipes glow bright orange for quite a distance from the flanges at cruise speeds.

I had the local mechanic take mine for a ride before and after the install of the PCV and he cannot believe that it made so much differance. Seat of the pants.........

PCV solves that problem.

Stop by 1130cc.com for real good reading on the V Rod's, especially the F's.
