Craftsman motorcycle jack

Any one else using one of these on a V-ROD? Mine won't fit under the bike, {even before I lowered it}. I have to drive it up on some wood blocks about 2" high before I can get it under the bike. Then I notice that it's sitting on the oilpan and frame rails.
I just don't think it's a good idea for this much weight to be on the oilpan. Are other jacks the same?

I have the sears jack and have no problem getting mine on the jack without lifting or blocking. Simply upright the bike off of the stand and slide the jack in under the side while the bike is up. Mine does touch the oil pan with the rubber runners but I have had the mounts loose and find that minimal pressure is on the oil pan. The jack seems to be a perfect fit for my bike. I even jack mine up to wash it, makes it much easier to clean the wheels.

jlbait: I think I have the same jack from sears as you do, model #950190, I have no trouble, getting the V-Rod up on this jack, But it takes 2 people to do it, the bike must be vertical, straight up, then the jack can be slide under, with about 1/2 inch clearence, I have one rubber pad just even with the gas tank skid plate, and you are right about the other one touching the oil pan, but after close attention, I found that there is not any pressure on the pan itself ( I hope?) no damage after 4 times on the jack. I also use the sears jack, I line up the back with the cross bar and the weight on the front seems to be on the 2 rails. I slide the jack underneath while sitting on the bike. I have been using it for a few months and it works great.

I have the sears jack as well. It makes it a lot easier to clean the bike, especially the wheels. I recently applied Sharkhide to them. The bike does need to be upright to get the jack under it and I usually have someone sit on the bike to manuever it while I slide the jack under. Bottom line is that it is affordable and it works great.

I don't have one, but went to www.Craftsman.com and did a search on "motorcycle" it came up with this

Motorcycle Jack

List on it's $120
Sears Item #00950190000
Mfr. Model #34612

Here's a pic

Looks like a handy little device for the bucks.
I wouldn't be able to use it for washing though, my driveway is at quite an angle, while I see the wheels are 'locking' not sure I'd trust it, I fear I'd be chasing the whole rig out to the street...

Thanks for all the replies! And a big thank you to MonsterMaxx for adding the photo. My main concern was the weight of the bike at the oilpan where the jack supports it. I don't want to hurt it.

I forgot to mention I got mine on sale. The sale price was $99.00. I filled out a Sears credit card application and they gave me another $10.00 off. I got it last fall but they have repeated the sale several times.

MonsterMaxx, did you take yours apart or did you have the dealer do it?
