i have an 09 denim night rod special...and i think when the shop washed it, they left water spots on it, mainly the air filter cover, where the gas tank would normally be....and now they wont come out for nothing, polish, cleaner, body shop guy said good luck....any thoughts or comments?...

not much experience with the satin finishes...but you could try a 50/50 mix of alchohol/water. I wouldn't rub too hard with any type of compound, just in case it causes a slight shine...

Not sure if this works or not but one of my troops told me his dad uses distilled vinegar to get the water spots out and his dad should know he's been an Auto Body guy for like 25 or 30 years in Jacksonville Florida. I haven't tried it yet but plan on mixing a little water and vinegar togeather and trying it tommorow. Hey what the hell it's worth a shot right.

That will work but make sure you use distilled water.

Sorry, it isn't water.

More than likey the stains are from that DOT 4 Brake fluid. I'll be willing to bet they checked your fluid in the clutch and brake reseviours and ended up spilling some on your paint. It will stain your paint and powder coat. Take it back to them and see if they'll make it right.

Sorry for the bad news.
