2004 Vrod For Sale/information

I work at a car dealership which someone traded in there 2004 v-rod for a Toyota. I just sold my streetglide and im looking for a bike. I was thinking about buying this bike and riding it for awhile until i found a heritage softail, but you never know i might like the vrod and keep it, but i dont want to buy this bike unless its a deal i cant refuse, because maybe i will ride for a few months and then try to sell it or trade it in. I need your advise on what the bottom line is on this bike and where i will not get hurt in the wallet by buying it. the bike is a 2004 vrod black with a black frame. it has screaming eagle exhaust looks like its in excellent condtion, it only has 983 miles on bike. please tell me honestly what i should pay for this bike, i have a idea of what the bike is worth. I can get the bike for around $7800.
