Hi,
A 06 FXDCI Dyna owner here. I'm doing a front fork, dual brembo conversion this winter, using V-rod lowers (49 mm).
I need the part numbers for the internal of a V-rod 06 for this project (VRSC-06).
Could some of you V-rod brothers give me the V-rod part number for the (se attached image for a dyna 06):
#23 Bottom pipe
#21 Spring rebound
#26 Oil lock piece
Regards! /Dan

Dan, I'd be happy to help you. I'm sure I would be able to get you any information you need reguarding the V-Rod front end. However, motorcycle.com has deemed it necessary for me to pay them to view your attachment, and I'm not planning on doing that.
I'm already a moderator on one of their other forums, and do quite a bit of free work for them already, so I'm not planning on paying them as well.
So, I've sent you my email in a PM. If you would like to email me the jpeg, I'll send you the part numbers.
I wish I could help you out right here, right now, but it doens't seem that it's possible.
RJ

I'm sorry Dan, I didn't see your email. I fished it out of my Spam filter and got you the numbers you need. Sorry for the delay.

You need 2 VRod damper rods part number 46518-01,
2 oil locks part number 46519-01,
2 damper screws part number 46520-01,
You will need VRod lower legs, a right caliper and a pair of 11.5 inch rotors if you do not convert to the Brembo calipers. You also need a dual disc brait is a keline and a 11/16 inch master cylinder or the master cylinder for the Brembo calipers(it is a 5/8 inch bore). To get the right ride height, you will have to make two spacers that are 20MM in diameter and 32MM long. Drill and tap the center of the spacer for an 8MM x 1.25 stud and bolt.
Use minimum of 20 wt fork fluid to keep the forks action close to stock. I'mm using 30 wt and so far I am happy.

CAP!
Thanks!
Seems like you know what you are talking about! I've got the Vrod lowers and the Brembo calipers on my shelf, actually one of the Brembo caliper is on the bike right now.
My "problem" is that I have a AME chopperkit, so all the equations does not match.
Have you converted your FXSTB to a dual disc?
More info please! And more pics!

Dyna Front Ends
This is a little out of the way of the topic, but I was wondering if you guys would think a dual disc front end would look right on my FXDWG. Any comments are welcome.

I dual disced my 2007 Street Bob. I have dual disced Softails in the past. Dual disc systems look great on any bike.

Dual Disc FXDWG
I was thinking it would go alright with my paint scheme, and the paint is certainly not going to change, it's #177 of 200 made in '03 and I rather like it..I was also thinking of lowering the rear an inch or too as well. I found out that vtwinforum.com charges to view attachments, so here's a link to a page with my scooter on it if you're wondering how it looks. Also, any suggestions as to other mods would be great. This is my first Harley and I truly love it, and I wanna do it right, with all the class a Harley deserves.
