V-MOD Exhaust Cut

There's a shop in WI that modifies original V-ROD exhaust. They call it the V-MOD cut. Has anyone had this done, or know of anyone who has had this done? Would anyone recommend this, or is it better to just buy a new exhaust for improved sound and performance?

Thanks for your input..

V-Mod.com aka mainstreet motorcycles.

Steve runs a good shop.

There are two mods he does, the original "V-Mod" and the new "V-Mod II"

The original V-Mod cut is simply removing the inner baffle of the pipe. I have been running this pipe for 4 years and love it. I like the swoopy looking pipe with the inner baffle gone, it sounds like it looks.

I'll be switching to a BUB 7 when I do my engine this winter, but it's more of a wieght savings than anything. I've been quite happy with the V-Mod Style cut.

You will need ECM tuning, PCIII, SERT, etc.

You can do it yourself, if you have a hole saw.

I agree with rj, Steve is a great guy! I have had a set of both of his slip-ons. The V-mod II were nice if you like a little loud but not too loud. The V-mod I was loud and nice. I have a CFR now and it is AWSOME!!!!!
