My new Night Rod!

I want to say Hi to everyone here (great forum).

I just picked up my Night Rod Special Wednesday in Wisconsin. I live in KC. It was a long day for me but well worth it. I absolutely love this bike!

One question, is there a helmet(s) that anyone would recommend? I've got an Arai but the paint job doesn't exactly blend with the NRS. I'm debating on the full face or 3/4,1/2 helmets. Please share your thoughts. Thanks guys!

Congrats!

If it weren't for V-Rods, I wouldn't own a Harley-Davidson.

It is hard to recommend a helmet as each individual has different likes. Me, I like a full face for highway driving (safer, and I don't get wore out from fighting the wind), but puttering around town I like a half helmet (more comfy, but bad at high speed).

My recommendation would be to travel to a shop that carries a big selection of helmets (at least 100+ different types), and just try them on, feel the padding, look at the color, and take someone with you that has been a biker for some time for advice.

The Arai Tour X is a good helmet for the NRS, I have a gloss black one to match my Vivid Black NRS. The Arai seems to have a wider viewing angle than most full face helmets. I was an open face user before this one, I don't feel so claustrophoebic in the Tour X.
