Mom's new ride!
2008 Night Rod Special
We went and picked it up today. Love it! It rides really well. Just didnt care for the forward controls on this one. With more lean towards the handle bars and forward controls, you have to be a tall son of a biscuit to reach those dang things . Jeez, God made to too short .

Reach seat, reach pegs, any bars you want will bolt up . make it YOUR DX ! I love the colors you picked. I feel the gloss looks the best.

Kossman makes a mid control set that is relatively easy to convert. Consider mid controls before you end up spending more for reach pedals, seats, and bars and still uncomfortable.

Maybe so.
I let a male colleague ride my 07 Night Rod Special and it spat him off when he barrel rolled it at low speed within 100metres (less than a tenth of a mile). As a result I now have the 2008 Night Rod Special, glad to see i'm not the only girl out there riding one .
Lesson learned, don't let any blokes on ya bike .

Awe jeez...sorry 'bout the 07. But congrats on the '08! You plan on any mods to make it more "you"? Mom's gonna add some new bars. I'm gonna suggest the reduced reach bars (thanks harleymon55) so she can take longer rides.
ride safe,
Carrie

Thanks Carrie and U2
I have the Vivid Black/Pewter Pearl one.
I only have 370 k's on the 08, after first service i'll fit the Screamin' Eagle Super Pro Race Tuner, as too the K&N Air Filter, Supertrapp/Kerker K Series mufflers (had these on the 07 and love em'), Screamin' Eagle Fork Oil and H-D Black Diamond Grips. I've put H-D Black Diamond footpegs and shifter peg on already. Considering suspension upgrades to Ohlins down the track.
