Why So Few V-Rod Posts

I am new here, so perhaps I am missing something, but I am surprised at how few posts this forum has for V-Rods.

Now, I'll admit that the Revolution engined V-Rods are not as popular as the air-cooled Harleys, but I am seeing more of them on the road. So why not here?

Just curious.

My guess....and its only a guess, is that there are V-Rod specific forums out there and the V-Rod owners find those.

Is there a few guys that would be interested in getting together and helping to build this section? I think we could improve it, but we need some guys that are dedicated, will help promote it, and will build-out the content/information.

When you look at numbers and mathmatics you can see why. With hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of Harleys on the road only a fraction are the fairly new V-rod. I've been reading motorcycle boards since nearly the beginning of the internet and I can say that even on this board, with being member number 40, that it takes thousands upon thousands of members to receive lots of posts. I feel like number wise this category is really not doing too bad. I know that water cooled engines are the future and I am glad that Harley came out with such an outstanding one. But I think they cater to a limited market within their frame and style choice. I was hoping that they would put the technology and engine in a tourer. But none the less, the V-rod is a great example of the direction the Harley will go by choice or by mandates in the future and it's really incredible that with so few out there and so few member owners here that own it that there are as many posts as there are. Maybe in a way that means that they did something right? hmm

www.1130cc.com is the place to go for v-rods
we want to keep the v-rod a secret so that not everyone realizes what they're missing out on and buys a v-rod too

If memory serves, there used to be alot more V Rod riders around here but I think they constantatly took crap for not rising a "Real" Harley.

Most of the vrod activity is on the 1130. But they are tending to repeat themselves. With each new model year the questions and mods are the same.

It's pretty much the same with any forum. The questions tend to repeat. It's becoming harder and harder to keep your mods fresh and original, however, it's alot better than having problems to solve with the line of products.

Considering the relative "newness" of the VRSC line, there really aren't that many issues with them. The Revo motor has proven itself to be a stout powerplant. Now if I could just leave well enough alone, I'd have more $$ in my pocket. But what fun would that be?

I work in a small Indy part time that only works on Harleys, Indians & custom bikes. We dont have a single customer that owns a VROD. Personally I kind of like them especially that they are water cooled, wish my overheated RK was (shame on me). But I am not a hardliner like most of our customers, a VROD is one of those subjects its best not to bring up around the guys that have nothing else to do but hang out at the shop.

Because we sell used Harley one thing I have noticed is that the Cycletrader is loaded with VRODs with very very low miles. I wonder if some people are so image conscience that they buy them & then get rid of them because they aren't a "real Harley"; hence the lack of forum traffic.
