Looking at a real deal on a leftover '05 VRSCB (my dealer just can't sell V-Rods). Am particularly concerned about the ergos. I'm 5'11" with a 33" inseam. Any other real world info on this model, good and bad, will be appreciated.
A B model is the same as a A model, but with a few less mods and a black frame. All the VRSC engines are the same with exception of the X and SE versions, which are 1250cc. The B is a nice bike with forward controls. You would be surprised at how comfortable that position is. I know a guy that is in his 60's, bought a VRSCX new with the drag bars and forward controls. He rode it back to Florida and said it was surprisingly comfortable. Not a FLH mind you, but gobs of HP and near 75 lb torque.
I own the VRSCR version but I've ridden the cruiser style VRSCB. (My preference is for the more upright seating, feet underneath me.) You won't have any problems with the ergonomics, I am the same height and inseam.
The engines are bullet proof. My dealer has sold a lot of VRSC models and they have never had to carry out a major repair on anyone of them.
