Need a Road Glide Part

Fellow Road Gliders/Touring Riders,

I am ready to start my project to convert my 03 Electra Glide to a Road Glide. Two weeks ago I stripped all the batwing stuff off and ordered all the RG fairing and related parts. I just received notification the my parts will arrive 3/23, but...... there is one part that is on backorder from HD.

I need the left speedo/tach housing (attatches to the left fork). HD Part # 67922 (67922-98C/D or 67922-04). Anyone have one laying around or know where I could get one? I would take a used/slightly damaged one.

I don't want to hold up the project because of one relatively small part.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Good news. Thanks to Scott at Reno HD and a bunch of phone calls, I found the part. It's on the way, and I should have it in a day or two.

Glad to hear your good fortune on the search. Do they have a web site where you got it?
You may have to seal the neck grease fitting off. My fairing brackets go directly over were the fitting should be.
Did you buy your fairing brackets on EBAY?

check out "Dreaming - EG to RG Conversion" thread. It has the latest updates.

I ordered the brackets from zanotti's with the rest of my order. That one item (67922 - left side speedo/tach housing) was on backorder from HD. I finally found one at Victoria HD in Texas, thanks to Scott at Reno HD. It's on the way to me now.

I'll check on the grease fitting when I start to put on the brackets. I have been doing alot of research, but hadn't heard of that yet.
