Headlight problem

Yesterday when I started my 04 EG the headlight and spots were not working. Everything else worked fine (turn, brake, running lights). Dumbfounded I finally hit the dim/bright switch and my headlights came on. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

The switch is a break before make, meaning it disconnects power from one circuit before applying it to the other. The switch could have been in the center, break position, where it does not power either circuit.

Maybe you had it in the high beam position where the passing lamps don't work and the high beam is burned out?

Or what little bear said.

Well, after using the high beam switch everything has been working fine (knock on wood). Hopefully it is not a short and just the switch being off the high or low detents.
