BTW- Millwright lowering the bike does help and a rider backrest makes it much easier to back up the bike, especially when two up. The guy I bought mine from was shorter and when he told me why he put it on I was surprised as I hadn't heard of that before. I'm not tall either so I tried it and it's much easier when you are pushing back with your hips and back, as in more leverage.

Sure does help having the back rest to push back.

I have the detachable tour pak. I took a picture to show you where you unplug the antenna from. On either side of the bike, in between the saddlebag and the rear fender, there are some brackets where you can easily unscrew them.
I've only had the Ultra for a few months, so I only took the tour pak off once just to check it out, but next year I plan to take it off more often. But I'll have to tell you that I love all the storage I have in the tour pak, so it'll be tough to ride without it sometimes. But I do like having the option (but it was an expensive option!).
-- Sorry, but when I previewed my post it looks like the picture shows up sideways.

Thank you for the effort. I can see what I need just fine. Saw a picture of an Ultra with the tour pak off and liked the street glide look. Also don't like the extra weight high on the bike all the time. I had a detachable tour pak on my old RK and had it off all summer when I didn,t need the space for warm clothes. I still have it for sale.

Anyone ever have the saddlebag rail divider work its way forward? My right one is close to the back as it should be but my left one is almost half way forward. I am wondering how to get it back where it belongs and if it will scratch the chrome on the rails if I force it back.

I also have a HD saddlebag cooler. Shortly after I got it leaks became a problem. I took it back to the dealer in Opelika, AL, Big Swamp, to exchange and they said that it is not waterproof! Hard to imagine that but they would not swap.

Yep, its nice to be able to take whatever you want with you and to be able to lock it up if you leave the bike for awhile.

Pull the bag off. Unscrew the clamp screw( it's on the inside of clamp), reposition clamp, tighten clamp screw. Reinstall bag.

Anyone switching to ThunderMax or Powervision?
Haven't decided yet which way to go. Anyone switched from one to the other? If so, what made your decision to switch?

RPM question
I bought a 2004 Ultra Classic. I'm running about 3200 RPM at 60 MPH. That sound about right to you guys? Also if I run 80 MPH on, say I-75 at X RPM will the engine take it on a trip? I'm wondering if it was re-geared for a lower RPM? Thank You.
