I Finally Did It!!!
I have an 02' Ultra Classic and I finally got the detachable rack and docking kits and put them on. I love it! It is so nice to be able to take the tour pac off and on as I want to. It was very easy to do. All the wires disconected easy and I rolled them up and zip tied them and put them under the seat. I also bought a rally runner seat and put it on as well. The seat is nice and it sits me back farther and lower than the stock seat. It also looks better than the stock. I haven't got to take any long rides yet so I can't tell you about the comfort of it. My advise to anyone is it you want to do this do it. It was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I also put a hidden antenna in the fairing. I bought it at napa for $20. The reception is good. You have to hook it up to a power source and ground it also.
I am now getting ready to leave for New Mexico. Going to fly out tommorrow. Then I am going to ride my girlfriends mama's softail back across the country to North Carolina. I have never rode a softail before. I hope it will be comfortable for the long trip back.
