Thumbs up

I think the corbin solo's look real nice on a King. A link to the Corbin site regarding solos for the King is HERE . Lots of pictures there. I ride with a guy who has this one and it looks good on his bike.

Hey GR,

Did you have any problem getting that Corbin attachment system to work on your Custom??

I recently put a Corbin solo on my 04 Custom & I think that attachment/post system blows.

By the way, here is a Mustang solo on my Custom:

I sold the Mustang shortly after that pic was taken.

I run a Corbin solo with the v rail and have been quite pleased with it. Have 5 trips of over 1000 miles in a day and no problems. Takes a little getting used to the firmness but it's a great seat and a great look to me.

If you're talking about the tongue on the front of the seat, I bent it down slightly. Fits perfect.

RKO, thank you, sir.

I have the Hollywood Solo on my Custom and like it very much. I have had no problems with the seat attachment system. I think it is an extremely convenient feature.

OK, Eddie. Tell me about that great looking saddlebag setup you have. It appears they are FL bags with domed lids. I like it, and have to know, as I am unimpressed with the stock leather bags.

GrayRider:

They are are stock Harley Davidson hard bag bottoms with MCKay Cycle Creations lids. Go to: http://mckayscyclecreations.com/ for more information. I believe he gets about $250.00 a pair. They are also at Choppers Cycles: http://www.chopperscycle.com/page/VTS/PROD/69-224/11830 for $164.00. I am told that they are also in the Custom Chrome Catalog. Supposedly the ones you get direct from Mckay are of a higher quality but I am not sure as I have never compared them first hand. The ones I got from McKay are first quality and are of the same thickness as the stock Harley lids. You have to drill the hardware holes and do some minor sanding for fitment purposes of where the lid catches the brackets on the bag bottoms. It cost me about $150 to have them finished and painted Vivid Black. With the deeper lids you get more storage room for things like bulky jackets or half helmets that protrude over the bag bottom.

Thanks Eddie. I really like the look on your Custom. Maybe I'll go in that direction.
