plongson wants to know Dino or Syn?
2014 Infotainment

If anyone has been following my issue with the FAV on the infotainment system being FUBAR. I got it straightened out and they found a way to a full factory reset.

My system is now fully operational and functional. WAHOO...

I've had a few issues with mine too. The other day, it locked up on me. Screen frozen, but it was still giving the NAV prompts. I was in traffic and using the joy stick without looking at the screen. Maybe I pushed too many buttons, faster than the radio could keep up with. I pulled over and shut down the bike. After 2 min, I started it up and was back to normal.

Also, twice I have started the bike in the garage and the radio senses the darkness (I guess) and goes to the night mode. I pull out of the garage in to bright sunlight and the screen stays in the night mode. I can barley read the screen(especially with shades on), but I uncheck auto brightness, recheck auto brightness and the screen returns to normal.

I am hoping the next software download will correct some of these issues, including that the NAV defaults to Canada.

Does your automatic volume control work? I use headsets and when I increase speed I need to increase volume manually. I have the AVC control set to max.

The AVC works with the faring speakers and not the headset. I think that is just the way it is...

I wear a Shoei full face and it's fine for me...

I've had the same problem, once after making a phone call, the stereo wouldn't work. I tried to turn up the volume and the volume said "Phone", then last weekend I was trying to play something on the USB after using voice command and the volume said "Prompt" both times the nav worked but the Music features stopped working. Has anyone talked to Harley about this?

Even with the factory reset, the 'tainment system is a bit buggy. It's not at all a mess, but it does have a few issues. On mine the biggest gripe is still the soft "favorites" on the main screen. Even after a full factory reset it eventually falls back to saying "initializing" and at that point, I've lost it again. Putting back all my settings from the reset takes about 30 minutes.

I'm hoping there is a version update that will cure this issue.

This is the ONLY problem I've had with the bike. Not one other issue.
