Jackpot 2/1/2 problem?
Not to hijack the thread but my mechanic just called and he is having some trouble installing my headpipe on my 09. He has the bolts started in the heads (not tightened but on) and the support at the transmission will no slide under the tab. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a step that he is not following.
He was going to try and grind the bottom of the tab so that it would fit on top instead of on bottom, but I don't think that is a good idea. I did have a hell of a time getting the old bung plugs out of one of the headers. Is it possible I tweaked them when I was wrenching it out?
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

When I installed my Jackpot headpipe I had a heck of a time getting it to go in place but eventually I got it without having to modify anything.

I had trouble fitting my Jackpot also. It's not an easy fit-up. Due to the design of the header mounting bracket. It must fit under the stock transmission exhuast mount bracket. I had to loosen the transmission bracket to even get the header positioned properly.

The HD exhaust gaskets are really a little to thick for this head pipe. Makes fitting it real hard. The thinner Cometic exhaust gaskets work much better with this head pipe.

It'll go, it just takes a little fiddling.

Straight from Jamie:
"When installing the pipe it is essential that the bracket is first placed under the trans bracket, you can then fit the flanges at the exhaust port and everything falls right into place. If you try to install the flanges first it will not fit, as the bracket on the pipe will be on the wrong side of the trans mount. If your mechanic has it installed with the bracket on the incorrect side of the trans bracket he needs to remove the pipe completely, upon reassembly when he puts the pipe up to the bike put the mount UNDER the trans bracket, and then connect the flanges at the cylinder heads. If any additional assistance is required we can be contacted at 920-423-3309"
I sent this to my mechanic and it worked like a charm.

Not to mention taking time to read the directions Fuelmoto encloses, takes all the guess work out when something doesn't fit up quite right.

I had a heck of a time getting mine on.
The pipe is made EXACT.
I had it on and off, front part way on, rear part way on etc.
Then all of a sudden, it just popped right on perfectly.

+1. I did my own. It actually went in pretty easily. I did have a little problem with the transmission mount. When removing my OEM exhaust, as soon as I loosened the xmission mount bolt, the pipe moved toward the frame. That, in turn, kicked the carriage bolt up and I had to put the grips on it to loosen the nut enough to slide the pipe out.
When I put the Jackpot on, I was patient and the pipes slid right into position. The carriage bolt, however, wanted to remain cocked up and not drop into the mount. I gently eased the pipe outward just a little and it dropped in place.
Also, I used the Jackpot Stainless gaskets for the installation. They let the pipes seat into the head like they are designed to do.

Thats compliments of an EPA tune hotter than hell Harley.
This one is with only 2,500 miles on it and 2 months old.
The head pipe in the background is the factory one with only 2,500 miles on it.
