The OP wanted opinions on 2012-2013 touring bikes. Scott had a very pertinent answer. I don't think we know when he bought the bike, or what his available time to ride is. Don't we want people to be able to post good info without being ridiculed?

Thanks,

rkc

RKC-Charlie wants to know Dino or Syn?
OP was interested in 2012 annd 2013's. I'll mention that I have the 2011 RKC and it's at 47,000 miles, 20 months old. I had one oil leak that the dealer worked on 3 times before actually fixing it. I had the compensator replaced at 38,000 miles. All this work was warranty. No other problems. Wonderful ride, best Harley I have owned and I have had a dozen or more (I presently own 3). Enjoy your new ride, roll the hell out of it!

Ridicule is a rather strong word. I think we can all agree that we expect the 1st 7K miles on a new vehicle to be uneventful. that's all I was getting at.

My apologies if I came off harsh... it hasn't been a good day.

Where are they 110 Years later? Dude look Harley Davidson is a legend. It's one of the few things we have left since the 50's and 60's muscle car era. It's something we Americans can be proud of.

If you're interested in quality issues, Google the make, model and year bike of interest. Asking the question in a forum will only bring jaded responses. Some will whine about a broken tie wrap.

Not arguing the legend aspect. I'm a big fan myself (just not a fanboy). I don't think the "legend" status makes everything else worthless or the quality of their stuff untouchable.

There are other small bike companies that are cool. But when it comes to major companies . It's harley or nothing. Yamaha, Honda , and Suzuki and what other nerd bikes in that category aren't real bikes. They are just transportation.

Got my first hd in sept of 09. It was a 2010 ultra classic. I put 30k before i traded for a 13ultra limited. No issues other then water in the rear fender tip light and brake light switch on the foot brake. Both fixd under warranty.

...---... ...---... ...---.... ...---...

I have lost my mind. I have ventured out to find it. If it returns before me, please hold it until I return.
Thank You.
