recall? they need to recall their junk wheel bearings and junk tires and come up with something on the inner primary bearings too.

2012 ultra
I have a 2012 ultra classic, and am happy with the bike. New frame geometry really makes a difference. I had the recall done, and did not experience any charging problems.
The bike has 9000 miles, and I am experiencing a problem when downshifting. It seems as if the detent return spring in the trains is weak. Sometimes I have to fool with shifter to make sure the shift drum returns to its detent, to allow me to downshift.
I will keep you informed, as to what the dealer finds, and how they correct the issue.
Overall. I like the bike..

my 2012 road glide ultra is hard to stay off of.had the regulator issue when I first got it,but it was a run of bad regulators during the spring.they'd stop when they got hot but charge after they cooled off.mine was replaced under recall.
been a great bike otherwise, and I made it home when it did that, charged it overnight and rode it in for the replacement while I waited the next day.

So far I've only got about 1500 miles on my 2013 and the only thing I did was changed the trans oil to a better quality(I used Spectro six speed lube) and changed the oil to Amsoil 20w50 synthetic..I've heard that the primary self adjusting chain tensioner is alot of the cause for the transmission/primary bearing issues with these newer bikes..By all means get the extended warranty transfered over to the new bike...it will save you money in the long run.

Thanks, Slick Hardhead and Glide, That is all good info.
Slick did you leave the intake, exhaust and tune stock? I'm not sure about the 12 and 13 colors, I wish they still have the Demin blue. Color is not the real important part.
Thanks again guys, for the great input.

'12 Ultra Limited. No problems at all. I got the recall notice on the regulator but the numbers we not in the range, so I was good. It's been the best Harley I've ever had.

Regulators-recall in effect, questionable wheel bearings-look for rumbling sound/feel when going around turns, primary chain tensioners that overtighten and damage the inner primary bearing.
