first thing you have to do is get rid of that stupid cat converter, they put it right behind your right foot should have left them in the mufflers so they would be easier to take off.thing was so hot i rode my other bike this summer when it was hot out. gotta do something about the noisey primary also.besides all the short comings it is a very comforable ride.

Thanks Guys, I'm looking forward to trying ont out. The GM at the Dealership in question told me that I could try out a 09-10-11 used for a while before I by one. I'm still pretty stuck on a new one. I should be able to cover the and keep the same payment with the 72 month, or 84 month Term since I plan on owning the new one at least a decade and a half. I will keep up the warranty as long as I can, by buying whenever the warranty is coming up, and keeping full coverage since it only costs me like $45 a month.

This is the best Harley I've had to date from the three I've owned, not one problem in 3500 miles, changes were made to suit myself.

Mmy '12 had the rear brakelight switch replaced under recall, and the reg was not one of the bad ones. The bike is awesome, would not worry about any of the "issues" and would still get one no matter what. Like it way better than my 08 and is the most awesome bike I have ever owned-and I have had a bunch.

I have a 2012 and the only thing that I have done is to have the regulator replaced. The bike runs great and has been issue free.

they put the cat right next to the brake lite switch and wiring.take a look at how they ran the front plug wire under the gas tank.it'll rub right though the wire in no time.harley must not have anyone looking at these bikes going out the door.most dealers just slap them together, hell i had stuff loose on my bike when i bought it .you need to take some time and go over the whole bike to make sure every thing is tight and it's safe to ride .trust no one when your safety relies on it.

Hardheaded is right, the biggest issue I found with mine was that at 1000 miles when I serviced it and changed the trans fluid, it only had a little over 12 oz of oil in it, the owners manual says 28 to 32 oz..(ya think stuff like that could lead to early transmission bearing failure?) lol Check, recheck and then check again.

I'm with ya. Especially since I will be picking the new one up from the same dealer that sold me the one that is jacked up..

when i picked up my new bike i checked the fluids and the trans barely touched the dip stick. who's to blame the factory or dealer. the first thing i do after i buy a new bike is go over every nut & bolt and make sure it's safe.i not willing to put my life in someone else's hands.i've nver been happy with any work that has came out of any dealers around my area.
