Tour Pak Mounting w/o Ugly Docking Hardware

Anyone know of a Detachable King Tour Pak Mount that can use the OE sissy bar docking?

I picked up a King Tour Pak for my 2008 Street Glide. Went to mount it with the HD Docking System (53804-06). I don't like the look when the Tour Pak is off and the ugly loops and mounts show.

Any info. on other products is appreciated.

Thanks,

Street

I'm not sure about other docking hardware but I have a 06 Ultra-Classic and I take my tourpack off quite regularly and I have the hardwhare that originally came with the bike. I thought about getting the quick disconnect hardware but I didn't like the ugly look it gave without the tourpack. I take my tourpack off and the mounting hardware and the license plate frame, tuck all the wiring under the seat, then I put my layback license plate on, my badlander seat on and now I have a Streetglide. It looks clean and I get alot of compliments about the look. Is it possible just for you to remove the docking hardware.
Here's a picture:

Have you seen the magnetic chrome covers that pop into place over the docking grommets? My buddy has them on his Street Glide and they really make the mount look nice while empty.

Smokey, your Bike looks great. Yeah the Docking hardware is quite an installation. So taking on and off is not an option. Plus you have to do an antenena relocation then have the loops show through the rear fender fill strips.

FBI has a couple I might look into where you only replace the front docking so you don't have the big loops.
thanks for sharing.

I have a shorty antenna mounted on the rear left chrome fender strut. There are two threaded holes halfway down, one for the saddle bag rail and one above it which is vacant. I mount the antenna there and run the cable up behind the strut, secure it with a cable strap and up under the seat. You don't see any cables. Hd sells the mounting hardware for the antenna and you can put any size antenna on. Mine is about 10" and when it is mounted on the bike the tip of the antenna is about 2" below the rear fender just where it starts to bend down . Nice and hidden. You don't even notice it. Mind you reception is limited but I still get enough stations even out in the country.
