I shoulda' ordered sooner

I placed an order for a bunch of Gerbing heated gear last week and never got a shipping conformation. I sent two emails before I got a reply saying everything I ordered was on backorder until mid to late December...BooHoo, Woe is me...

I shoulda' placed my order last August...it's been my luck with back orders, I'll probably get the stuff 'long around July...just in time for Sturgis when it 100*f outside LOL

Are you near Sandy Utah? The BMW dealer sells(?) Gerbings and Harley dealers sell them under the HD label.

I'm in Las Vegas right now. I look at the Harley heated gear (which is understand is Gerbing) and it is all marked up $$ pretty good. I should call around here, BMW is a good idea...

Did you try revzilla? They usually have it in stock and ship FAST.

I had the same issue trying to order directly from Gerbing. When I called them, they recommended I order from Revzilla. I had my order in about four days. They are the number one dealer for Gerbing gear.

I guess I could call Revzilla, but I looked on their website and everything Gerbing was listed as out of stock.

Sorry to hear about the backorder ... I just got my heated grips that my wife ordered from my wishlist ... only to find out that I never updated the model number for my current bike so I will be listing them on EBay or here in forum ... 20% restocking fee plus shipping both ways will not be worth returning. Price to pay for my stupidity!

Saw all the back-orders on line and got mine from the Gerbing booth at the international motorcycle show couple weeks ago.

Up in Olympia office for Gerbing

plongson,

Had a friend want to buy some of the Gerbing while down in Wa. from Canada. I took him to the Olympia area store at Tumwater Wa.... They did have racks of the heated clothes and Did sell him off a rack...

Supposedly, they do repair and warranty work there but IF they have the product they MAY sell to you.

I don't have any information to get you in touch with them so you are on your own... YES they even discounted the products he bought BUT we were there LIVE in the factory wearhouse at Tumwater Wa..

Might be worth a try on the phone with them.

signed....BUBBIE

Man, it looks like the Gerbing heated gear business is the gig to get into. Must be nice to have such a market for your product, and not try to fill orders. Set a crazy high price and just set everything on backorder.

Ya, I'm being silly but these guys got it good...Sounds like the MoCo LOL

Would you prefer to work with a company that always have stock on hand, cheap (can't sell it) or a company that tries to keep with demand. Gerbings is largely a word of mouth, referral company, that requires a good investment in their product, not unlike HD.

Don't like to use these "smiles" but,,, the time to buy heating gear is when you know it will extend you riding seaon and not when you know you need it.

Being local to their headquarters I have meet the owners, and many Gerbings products users,. They are worth the asking price,, their guarantee is outstanding, and your comfort is what you value it to be.

, ENJOY

Ya, no kidding!! LOL

Actually, I just kept the original order with Gerbing and I'll just wait. The temps here in LV are unseasonably warm and I don't need the stuff anyway. I'm not really upset at all, I shoulda ordered sooner...that's what the name of the post is...right?

THANKS for all the suggestions though. really appreciated!
