Stereo change

I am getting a 1999 Ultra Classic this weekend. The stereo in it has a tape deck. Will a stereo from a later model Ultra Classic, preferably with satellite, fit in this older model bike?

Your radio is supplied by Radio Sound. The radio manufacturer changed to Harman/Kardon in 2006.
Harley did offer a CD upgrade kit that was just a "Plug N Play" for the 1998-2002 cassettee radio to the CD used 2003-2005. It came in both standard and Ultra models. Your radio should be 76146-98. The Ultra CD radio part number is 76146-03. Trouble with this is that those radios were made by Radio Sound and are now obsolete. About the only way to find them is to rearch eBay. Good part is that Radio Sound still repairs the radios.

There has been reports of some that have installed the H/K radio in the 1998-2005 Electra Glides.
Contact Iron Cross Audio for help if this is the way you want to go.
