So finally did a stereo upgrade over the past couple of weeks and man what a difference. First was the speakers, went with Polk Audio MM651, by them selves they were better than the stock ones and sounded good. Just installed a Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 and now its night and day. The amp kicks arse, for the money I spent on the upgrade, its one of those best bang for the buck, 120 for speakers and 180 for amp and install kit. The amp comes with a test sheet from Rockford and is pushing 186watts RMS per channel. I think I would put it next to any of the more expensive kits out there and do a side by side and not have any worries of theirs sounding any better or louder. Any more than a little past half cranked and it feels like my ears are about to bleed but in a good way. Very happy with this upgrade.

So finished the amp mounting bracket today. A little work but turned out pretty good. Hopefully this help with any heat issue. And yes I did hand drill and counter sink all the hole on both sides.

Great job on the bracket...although i don't see why you went to that much trouble. I just velcro'd my amp to the top of the head just and it works just fine.

It would have been a real bummer to mess up on one of the last few holes in that grid.

Thanks for the comments on the bracket. It may have been a little over kill on it but had the time and was bored and that can be dangerous. The good thing about it is that I don't think I will have a over heating issue with it and it cutting out. Now that the speaker seem to have broken in, man I could not be any happier with it. I did go back in and lined the inside of my fairing and that seemed to put a little more bass in it. Think I spent about 15 on that at home depot, thick shelf liner and 3M spray glue did the trick just fine and didn't break the bank.

wanna make another one of those brackets?!!! thats a clean lookin install!!! I'm ordering this amp soon and wanna hook it up to my J&Ms, which install kit for the amp did you buy the one with rca's or no rca's?
