I've never heard of this. Does this apply to all models?

Not sure if its all models. But it is a fact. It happened quite a bit to me here in Phoenix before I did all the upgrades. I still have it activated but hasnt went on in a while. It can be turned on and off with the SERT or TTS.

I don't think they started doing this till they went throttle by wire.

Turn the ignition switch on and roll the throttle forward and it will disable this function..

There you go. My 07 has it. I think it was the first year. Get a stage one and have it tuned. It will run much cooler.

my 09 roadking does this but i can adjust it by rolling the throttle fwd with the ignition on and watching the cruise light red is off green is on. it only controls the idle

though, supposedly it keeps the heat off the passenger by shutting down the rear cylinder. not sure if you can turn it on and off without going to delaer on the 07 model though , best of luck to you. it should go away once it cools down

It can only be turned off by the dealer on the 07 model. It should have started firing again once you opened the throttle.

My first panhead; a 57 fl wuz firing only on the front cylinder.
As an ignorant teen, I wuz too dumb to notice until someone fixed it for me.
It was an ignition problem.
My 05 Sporty often fires on only the front cylinder till it warms up or goes a couple miles.

I attempted to do that but it would not fire at all, I rode it from PA to NJ at about 50 MPH, couldn't go no faster and really didn't want nothing else to happen at that point, I think its the PC III that I have installed or the ECM might have taken a dump.

If it is an ignition problem, and that cylinder was getting fuel the whole time from PA to NJ you may have washed down the cylinder. Time for a big bore kit.
