Yes it can and has been done. It requires an oil pan from an 09 later and the transmission has to be drilled and tapped for a hangar. I'm currently in the process of collecting the parts to do it on my 05.

i knew that somebody must have been able to make one work. dont know that i wanna switch oil pans though just for an exhaust system. not knocking it though by any means.

before i bought my twin cam, local goodwill had a complete takeoff system from a new bike for 35 bucks including slip on mufflers but excluding heat shields...should coulda woulda....

I don't have a problem with the oil pan swap but I may have run into another snag. I have a bagger Brace that may be in the way and I'm not willing to give it up. I found a source for the 09 pipes I need but I have to wait for someone who has already done this to get back to me with some measurements before I proceed.

The 2010 2 into 1 on the road glide and street glide WILL fit. I have one on my 2003 flhtci. Had to slightly modify the bracket at the tranny, same slip on muffler that wqas on stock.

No change to oil pan. This is the 2 into 1 on the 2010 road and street glide, not the 2 into 1 into 2 on the classics and ultra classics. . I put this on with the a big bore kit, p and p heads, ect. The final numbers were 97 torque and 88 horse. 42 mpg highway. I intend to put a rinehart slip on when coins are available. Rinehart just can out with a slip on for 2010 2 into 1 exhaust. I also have a 6 speed to drop in.

The oil pan change is required with the 2-1-2 header pipe due to the cross under pipe.

Update, I knew the stock 09 2-1-2 exhaust would work on my 05 with some mods but apparently no one had yet tried one of the aftermarket 2-1-2 head pipes such as the Fullsac, Jackpot or V&H Power Duals.

I decided to be a guniea pig and ordered a V&H head pipe. With the oil pan swap, 2 holes drilled in the back of the tranny and slotting the holes on the supplied tranny side mount it worked out great and I am extremely happy with how it turned out.

aka_Matt, No disrespect meant, but this is why its sometimes good to ask the same question. Times change and there's always someone out there attempting to do the impossible.

eglider05 - That looks pretty cool, how about some pictures and a parts lists for the rest of us contemplating this change?

well,i like them because to me they could acomplish two things. you would have the performance of the 2 into 1 but still have two dual exhausts coming out the rear of the bagger, which i think just looks right.

Only one way to tell for sure, dyno before and after with no changes other than exhaust. You might be surprised how well stock exhuast works with engine combos.

Just sayin .......
