Question

I am the proud owner as of 11/09/09 of an 09 Street Glide. Traded the 08 FXD SE2 and I'm happier than a punk in Boy's Town. Is there an eaiser way to check the rear tire pressure rather than removing the right side saddle bag and lying on the floor? I'm using a standard pencil type air gauge. Thanx in advance. Any suggestions on a diffent type of air gauge?

Tire PSI

It just sucks, I use a gauge that has an extension hose on it and a tire filler that has a long hose and a gauge on it to get it close to the psi , and it still sucks! Congrats on the new ride!

I have an 09 SG as well. Don't find it necessary to remove the bag but i do have to get lay on the ground to get the guage in the right position.

I think thats how she gets the gauge in the right position just before he lays down to check the Psi!

GF needed something big to hold on to while riding the dragon - hence the smile on my face.

Just roll the bike until the valve stem is at the bottom of the tire and check the pressure from the right side. I do not find it neccesary to take the bag off or lay on the ground. Good knee pads are priceless or a rolled up towel. Congrats and enjoy.

I second the stem to the botttom and I use the HD air pressure gauge with the flexible braided steel hose. It has a 90 degree head on it and that seems to work. I had to make a swivel air chuck for my airhose to air up my tires. The standard 45 degree did not clear the brake disc's.
