You cant go high enough to make any difference with out longer cables and wires so you might as well plan on jumping all in.New bars, cables, hoses, wires, etc.

I have the same Apes on my 05 road glide, they are actually the same stock bars on a Dyna Wide Glide pre 08.

Stick with these bars and you shouldn't have any problems to replace any lines or wiring. you may need to do a little tweaking with the brake line and clutch cable will need to be routed a little differently but its a GO..

These bares are 100X better than the stock bars and it really has nothing to do with the height, it all has to do with the position your wrist twisting outward on the mini apes. I found the stock bars made my wrist twist too much inward causing my shoulders to hurt.

The heritage baby apes will fit, that is what police bikes use. They are not as wide, so the cables reach.

I put the Heritage bars on mine. I had to reroute the clutch cable (like on a Road King) and straighten the brake line but they work slick and I find them much more comfortable than stock.
